Delta County is a wonderful place to live. We have many area festivals held throughout the year, some include the Cedaredge Apple Fest, Olathe Sweet Corn Festival, Delta County Deltarado Days and the Cedaredge Little Britches Rodeo. The Grand Mesa is just minutes away from our little town of Cedaredge, where you can enjoy fishing, canoeing, hiking and skiing and where the Cedaredge Chamber of Commerce sponsors a couple of Sled Dog Races each winter. Just a note-Grand Mesa was ranked the number 3 choice in 2007 for the World Championships of Sled Dog racing after the first application. Where else in the world, can you find fairly level terrain at 11,000 feet elevation where the snow is great?? Travel to Montrose and see the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, where you can enjoy the breathtaking views of the 2000 foot cliffs. Grand Junction Colorado is the largest city on the Western Slope, it is an hour drive from Cedaredge. You can reach Grand Junction by going over the Grand Mesa or by traveling through Delta. |
